Entry Fees – Terms & Conditions

• All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the reason for cancellation (including injury, illness, travel issues, or scheduling conflicts).
• Registrations cannot be transferred to another participant or deferred to a future year.
• By registering, you acknowledge and accept this policy as part of your participation in the St. Maarten Marathon.

Cut-Off Times:
St. Maarten Marathon: 6 hours
Tortuga Maho Half Marathon: 4 hours
Runners exceeding time limits will be asked to board the sweeper vehicle for safety.

Minimum Age Requirements:
St. Maarten Marathon: 18 years
Tortuga Maho Half Marathon: 16 years
Country Club Port de Plaisance 10K Run: 14 years
HBN Law & Tax 5K Run & Walk: No age limit

 Race Distance Change Policy:
Participants may change their race distance under the following conditions:
No refunds – Registeration fees already paid will not be refunden when changing distances.
How to request a change – Email stmaartenmarathon@gmail.com before Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, or in person during the race packet pick-up on December 5th and 6th.
Fees for changing distance – Switching to a shorter distance: $5 administration fee. Switching to a longer distance: Pay the difference in registration fees.
During the race – Changing your race distance during the race is not allowed and may result in disqualification.  stmaartenmarathon@gmail.com

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By signing up, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms:

I understand that participating in the St. Maarten Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, or 5km involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, weather conditions, traffic hazards, and unforeseen incidents. I confirm that I am physically fit to participate and assume full responsibility for any risks associated with the event.

I agree to abide by all event rules and instructions given by race officials, volunteers, and law enforcement. I understand that the event organizers, sponsors, and volunteers are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property that may occur before, during, or after the event.

I acknowledge that I am participating at my own risk and that no insurance coverage is provided by the event organizers. I also grant permission for my name, image, and race results to be used in event-related media and promotions.

For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must accept this waiver on their behalf.
